Just as I had cooled off…

the rumbles are starting to be heard again. Now, I’ll wait till I have some more information from this whole situation, but it looks like there is a small ray of hope beginning to appear in the Aggies to the SEC camp! With the Ags holding firm in our stance on the money deal that was worked out to stay in the Little XII, it looks like they are trying to back out and pull a fast one. Well the Aggie brass needs to really hold firm to their original call that if the deal is changed at all we’re out of here!!

Like I said, I haven’t had a chance to really look at all the goings on so there may be nothing to this, but I’ll be reading up and getting back to you as soon as I get a chance. Keep the hope alive!

Arkansas to Little XII

If the rumors about Arkansas putting out feelers to the Little XII are true, can we just trade places? I think that would make everyone happy. Arkansas would be out of the SEC. We’d be in the SEC. And lastly, Texas would still get to control the Little XII like they want, without us to get in their way or share their “guaranteed” money.

I really think this would be the best for everyone. Just a thought.

So Tired

Sorry I’ve fallen behind on posting some of the great articles and information I’ve run across, but I got tired of it all. Not tired of the idea af the Ags to the SEC, or the hope that some day it will happen, but tired of all the stories and talk of what happened and what COULD have happened. I’m so sick of hearing about the longhorns and how they set this up for the last 6 months and screwed everyone all at once by backing out like a small child when something didn’t go their way. Tired of hearing how great it would have been. Extremely tired of hearing the talk of these “guaranteed” dollars that are coming our way when we could have had the guaranteed money and stability of the best conference in the nation.

I do think this is just a band aid on the problem that is the horns in the big twelve, and I will look forward to the fine day that the Texas A&M Aggies join the SEC.

Anyway, I’m heading out of the country for the next two weeks, so maybe when I get back I’ll either be suprised by something changing and my Ags SEC bound, or all talk will have died down completely. Either way when I return I’ll be refreshed and ready to continue my campaign for the Texas A&M Aggies to the SEC!

Never Give Up

Posted on: June 15th, 2010 by SECAG No Comments

It would never happen, but could feelings be hurt so bad that this deal doesn’t actually take?  Yes everyone is “committed” to this whole Little XII plan, but until the meetings are held and the ink hits the paper. We all know how many “committed” athletes end up at a different school after breaking their solid verbal. For now this Ag is going to keep hope.

Now in the case that this is final here’s an article on the winners and losers of this whole ordeal – Winners and losers from the Big 12’s survival

Articles Page

If you’ve been here before, you’ll notice one page has been replaced.  The articles page didn’t seem like it was that useful of an option now that this thing has been resolved.  If I find any really good ones that summarize what really happened without a long horn slant, I’ll throw them up here.

So until the Ags make it to their home in the SEC (and we know it will happen as this Little XII is just a band-aid on the problem that is the burnt orange) , I’ll pass the time using this space as my sports blog.

Just One Day of Work—And it all comes Down!!!

Posted on: June 14th, 2010 by SECAG No Comments

Go to work for ONE DAY and everything falls APART. It’ll happen though, some day the Ags will take their proper place in the best conference in America, the SEC!

As an Aggie I’m very well practiced at dealing with disappointment. It seems like the more we care, the more it hurts. The more of a sure thing that whatever it was you wanted to happen to the Aggies, the more you can guarantee the exact opposite will occur. Once again we’ll deal, and “build character” as we grow and continue to be the best Aggies we can be.

As much as I would love to trust the brass making the big decisions, this is hard to swallow. We all know this happened because Texas got scared when they saw their power and control walking out the door to the SEC. The fact that they can make everyone’s decisions and make a complete turn around when someone doesn’t play their way, is a complete joke. When everyone gets tired of their power and greed again in four years, I sure hope the SEC is willing to take us again. Until then I’ll consider Arkansas our one conference game every year, and look forward to the day when we can play the real UT every year in the SEC.

Until the day our SEC dreams come true, we’ll be right here preaching Ags to the SEC!!!
